Oluwatobiloba Amusan, the renowned Nigerian athletics star, has received yet another accolade with her recent induction into the University of Texas El Paso’s (UTEP) Hall of Fame 2024.
This esteemed recognition underscores Amusan’s remarkable accomplishments both in athletics and beyond. As a UTEP alumna, Amusan has become part of the institution’s 2024 Hall of Fame Class, making history as the youngest female athlete from UTEP to receive this honour.
During her two-year stint with the Miners (2016-17), Amusan clinched the national title in the 100-metre hurdles (12.57) at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
She earned all-American status thrice and secured a second-place finish in the same event at the 2016 NCAAs. Furthermore, Amusan claimed five Conference USA championships and currently holds UTEP records in both the indoor 60-metre hurdles (7.98) and the outdoor 100-metre hurdles (12.57).
This induction marks a significant achievement in Amusan’s distinguished career, which has been characterised by numerous records, honours, and groundbreaking accomplishments.
