Nigeria’s Oluwatobiloba Amusan won the gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdle final with a time of 12.68 seconds at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia on Friday.
Nigeria’s Oluwatobiloba Amusan won the gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdle final with a time of 12.68 seconds at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia on Friday.
Tobiloba Amusan therefore became the first Nigerian ever to win the gold medal in the event, beating two Jamaican athletes Danielle Williams and Yanique Thompson to the top medal.
Williams recorded a time of 12.78 seconds to win silver while Thompson won bronze with a time 12.97 seconds.
Amusan had earlier won the her heat in the women’s 100m hurdles round 1 with a time of 12.73 seconds.
